## Why five bedrooms is the size that books

Five bedrooms sleeping ten is the most requested configuration in Los Angeles, and it is not a coincidence. It fits two families with children. It fits five couples. It fits a production team. It is large enough that nobody shares and small enough that the rate stays sane.

Because it is the common size, it is also where the quality range is widest. Fifteen five-bedroom houses, and the difference between the best and worst fit for your specific group is enormous. The bedroom count tells you almost nothing.

## What actually separates them

**Bathrooms.** Our five-bedroom houses range from three and a half bathrooms to nine. At ten people, that is the difference between a relaxed morning and a queue.

If you need two front doors rather than one house, the guest-house properties are Huston Ranch House and Gaviota Pavilion, both a size up.

**Privacy above everything** → Ellison Ridgehouse or Mulholland Ridge.

**The view is the whole point** → Thrasher Aerie or Thrush Eyrie.

**Tightest budget, biggest group** → Alta Vista Terrace, with the bathroom caveat stated up front.

**Working the studios** → Coldwater Sycamore House, ten minutes to Universal and the Warner Bros. lot. Atoll Lanai is the other Valley option if you want more bathrooms and a chef's kitchen, though it does not publish a drive time — ask us and we will give you the real one for your dates.

## What it costs

Rates are quoted on request and vary more within this size than any other, because these fifteen houses span the Bird Streets to the Valley. The same bedroom count can be a large multiple in rate depending on the address.
